About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a Primary school in Gillingham. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work primarily with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
- Undertaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if required, in which you will be accredited for.
- Working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and Behavioural Needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working as an LSA would be highly desirable.
- Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable.
- Experience working with Young Offenders or in an Intervention role is highly desirable.
- Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
