Job Description


We are seeking dedicated and passionate teachers to deliver engaging Humanities lessons in secondary schools across Telford. If you have a passion for inspiring young minds and a strong background in Humanities (History, Geography, Religious Education, or Social Sciences), we encourage you to apply.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities subjects (History, Geography, Religious Education, and other related topics)
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Adapt lesson plans to suit different year groups and abilities
  • Support students' academic development and personal growth
  • Provide feedback to students on their work and progress
  • Follow school policies and adhere to safeguarding procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more of the Humanities disciplines
  • Previous experience teaching Humanities at secondary school level (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating young people
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
