Early Years Education Lead

We are seeking a dedicated SENCO to lead our provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Enfield. This role requires a National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification and a passion for driving positive outcomes for students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the school's SEND strategy, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Manage provision for pupils with SEN, supporting teachers in identifying and meeting individual student needs.
- Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Provide training and guidance to enhance understanding of SEN and effective classroom strategies among teachers and support staff.
- Foster an inclusive school culture that meets the needs of all students by collaborating with senior leadership and other departments.
- Liaise with external agencies, including educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and local authorities, to coordinate additional support.
- Lead annual reviews of EHCPs, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
