Job Title: Principal Engineer – Electrical (Control & Instrumentation)

Location: Flexible working arrangements available across various locations, including Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Filton, Manchester, Portsmouth, Frimley, or Weymouth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex integrated process control systems, providing expert advice and producing evidence to support legislative, safety, and technical requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers as part of the technical team, articulating and presenting technical arguments clearly, logically, and simply.
  • Execute, evaluate, deliver, and manage complex engineering and/or cross-functional tasks or programmes of work, recognizing stakeholder and customer requirements.
  • Lead and develop a small team of Control and Instrumentation engineers, identifying opportunities for personal/team development to ensure professional capability is maintained and improved.
Requirements:
  • STEM degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering background.
  • Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle phases and technical specialities.
  • Significant experience producing and communicating design documentation and artefacts relating to Control Systems.
  • Experience developing solutions to meet complex technical requirements in a highly regulated industry/environment.
  • Obtained or capable of obtaining relevant Professional Registration (CEng).
