Job Description

Role: Repairs Service Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, usual working hours would be Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. However, we operate within a flexible and agile working arrangement (by agreement) to cover the service 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Grade I - £43,421 - £46,464 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Repairs Service Manager to join our team at Nottingham City Council Housing Services. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the repairs service and ensuring that our residents receive a high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the repairs service and ensure that it is delivered to a high standard
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the service
  • Manage a team of staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that the service is aligned with the needs of our residents
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of leading a repairs service or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of housing management and repairs practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
