We are seeking a highly specialist clinical psychologist to join our Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service (MHLD) at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with psychiatrists, community psychiatric nurses, and other professionals to provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions for adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
- Conduct regular clinical supervision and consultation to ensure the highest standards of practice.
- Participate in service evaluation, audit, and research to inform the development of best practices and improve patient outcomes.
- Develop and deliver training and consultation to other staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge in working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.
- Entry-level qualification in applied psychological therapy or a related field, with demonstrable practice in the field.
- Additional training in a specialized area of psychological practice, such as clinical supervision or a specific therapeutic approach.
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs, including experience in conducting assessments and providing interventions.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of legislation and policies related to the care and support of individuals with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.
