Senior Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Romans Recruitment Group.

As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing project values of £500k - £15 million and ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct weekly site inspections using the safety culture platform and communicate the results to the wider business.

Conduct pre-start site inspections with project teams and advise on areas of weakness.

Assist project teams in completing corrective actions raised during audits and inspections, including chasing responses when not received.

Assist in completing Construction Phase Plans in the absence of the Health and Safety Manager or as required during busier periods.

Update Construction Phase Plans throughout the life of the project as required by project teams.

Assist in producing O&M manuals.

Uphold regular monthly communications to the wider company through toolbox talks and safety alerts/briefings.

Assist in accident investigations as required.

Record incident, near miss, and good catch reports received through the QR system, including chasing full incident reports when not received in the expected timeframe.

Assist and advise project teams with RAMS when required.

Approve suppliers in the absence of the Health and Safety Manager.
