About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Band 7 physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Farnham Hospital. As a key member of our rehabilitation service, you will play a leading role in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the physiotherapy service on the wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed assessments and document findings, demonstrating clinical reasoning skills.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust policies.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and staff, including imparting unwelcome news.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appreciate cultural and religious differences when agreeing treatment plans.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with the Therapy Manager and senior staff on professional matters.
  • Participate in clinical audit as part of our compliance in clinical governance.
  • Manage potentially stressful situations in an empathetic manner and demonstrate resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy team and wider multidisciplinary team to provide an efficient and effective service.
  • Develop leadership skills with service development and supervise Band 5, 6, therapy assistants, and students.
  • Participate in the appraisal scheme and training for physiotherapy and wider MDT.
  • Maintain professional competence through CPD opportunities and a portfolio.
  • Participate in weekend working rota.
