This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Commercial Explosive Manufacturer in the UK as an Assistant Operations Manager. Based out of Alfreton, Derbyshire, the client is a market leader with a strong presence in multiple channels and applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing, assembly, and storage processes.
- Agree goals, objectives, and targets for the site and individuals.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and site walk-arounds in conjunction with the Site Supervisor.
- Develop and update risk assessments to manage risks.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental guidelines are always followed.
- Responsible for the site, including COMAH obligations and other requirements.
- Minimize downtime.
- Carry out performance appraisals of all direct reports.
- Experience working within COMAH Regulations or a manufacturing environment.
- Health and Safety Training of some degree.
- People and team management experience, with the ability to demonstrate this.
