We are a leading staffing agency connecting professionals with top companies worldwide.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Cable Technician on a long-term contract basis, offering the chance to work on various types of voice and data cables, including twisted pair, coax, CAT-5, CAT-6, single & multi-mode fiber optic cables.
Responsibilities:
- Pulling cat 5e/cat 6 cable in new construction environments is a key responsibility for this role.
- You will be responsible for testing fiber cables using Fluke testers.
- Building out MDF/IDFs and installing wireless access points (WAPs) are also part of your duties.
- You will need to install J Hooks, D-rings, cable tray, and other cable supports.
- Reading blueprints and schematics is essential for this role.
Requirements:
- You must have at least 1 year of experience in commercial cabling.
- Pulling and terminating cables is a crucial skill for this position.
- Ability to climb ladders and insert cables into access points is required.
- Able to work from boom/scissor lifts.
About the Role:
This position involves working under general supervision, maintaining a highly analytical and problem-solving mindset while collaborating as a team player.
About Your Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
