Automotive Repair Facility Manager

Challender Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager to oversee the operations of our automotive repair facility specializing in bodywork, collision repair, and paintwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of technicians, estimators, painters, and administrative staff in the bodyshop.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and resolve conflicts or issues that arise among team members.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the bodyshop, including scheduling repairs, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of work.
- Monitor workflow and productivity to optimize efficiency and meet customer deadlines.
- Maintain inventory of necessary tools, equipment, and supplies, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to minimize accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
- Customer Service and Communication:
- Interact with customers to understand their repair needs, provide estimates, and address any concerns or questions.
- Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining open communication throughout the repair process, providing regular updates, and addressing customer feedback or complaints.
- Handle any insurance-related matters, including working with insurance companies, processing claims, and negotiating repair costs.
- Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure that repairs are performed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with industry regulations and safety guidelines.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality and accuracy, and make any necessary corrections or adjustments.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to automotive bodywork and collision repair.
- Financial and Administrative Responsibilities:
- Manage the bodyshop's budget, including tracking expenses, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.
- Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as revenue, expenses, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the administrative team to handle invoicing, billing, and other administrative tasks.
- Previous experience in automotive repair and bodyshop management is typically required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive bodywork, collision repair, and paint processes.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using computer software for estimating, scheduling, and reporting (e.g., repair management systems).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
