About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a highly regarded secondary school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with SEND/SEMH needs in and out of the classroom, ensuring they meet their targets and develop academically and personally.
  • Work in small groups and 1:1 with students, providing individualized support and guidance.
  • Monitor the progress of individual students, tracking their development and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support teachers in developing and implementing personalized learning plans for students with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • A graduate with strong academic credentials and a passion for supporting students with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A 'can-do' attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to students.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs and SEND, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by these needs.

  • A competitive daily rate of £105-£110.
  • A long-term, full-time contract with a Monday to Friday schedule (no weekends).
