SEMHLearning Support Assistant Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Barking and Dagenham. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with their learning and development, improving their communication and social skills.
  • Work alongside qualified SEN professionals, Specialist Teachers, and Educational Psychologists to provide a comprehensive support system for pupils.
  • Gain experience in a school setting with specialist SEMH and ARP classrooms.
Requirements:
  • Obtained a First-Class Psychology Degree or a degree from a Top 20 University.
  • Has previous experience and a passion for working with children.
  • Aims to become an Educational Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist.
  • Has excellent communication skills, patience, and resilience.
