This role oversees and delivers the training and development of Phlebotomy employees by reviewing training plans, monitoring and scheduling competency assessments. This role includes accountability of the provision of our successful, accredited Synnovis Phlebotomy Training Course, providing the theory and competency for over 150 external students p/a. This role will also encompass the rollout and support of our UGME Medical Student business provision and any other tailored Phlebotomy training as deemed appropriate.
Main Duties of the Job
• Identify skill gaps and planning of training of all technical, and administrative roles within the associated work area.
• Oversee the delivery of training and development processes, including development of training materials and competency.
• Delivery of UGME Medical Student provision, liaising with the Undergraduate Medical Education Coordinators and Department Leads to ensure a high standard of training is provided.
• Provide regular training-related reporting to senior management and the Talent team, highlighting issues and risks, and measuring progress against agreed KPIs.
• Manage the employee compliance for Synnovis statutory/mandatory training in all areas.
• Work collaboratively with Phlebotomy training leads to ensure the delivery of the operational objectives for the associated work area.
• Identify and address skills gaps with support from the Learning & Development and Talent teams.
• Develop the overarching Phlebotomy training policy to ensure all standards are met and guidelines remain relevant and current.
• Coordinate all required Phlebotomy training events and provide high level monitoring of performance via localised training leads.
• Manage the Synnovis Phlebotomy Training Course, working in collaboration with the Management teams, supporting communications, enrolment, theory days, Induction and competency assessments/examinations.
• Support induction training to all new joiners to Phlebotomy and work closely with the HR team to ensure all onboarding is delivered as required and in a timely manner.
• Facilitate mentorship to all staff within the team and work with other training leads to ensure strategic training plans are delivered.
• Support the development of theory and practical based training, organising classroom-based training with trainers and facilitators.

Duties and Responsibilities
You will hold a variety of accountabilities. These will include, but are not limited to:
· Oversee the identification of skill gaps and planning of training of all technical, and administrative roles within the associated work area.
· Oversee the delivery of training and development processes, including development of training materials and competency.
· Oversee the delivery of UGME Medical Student provision, liaising with the Undergraduate Medical Education Coordinators and Department Leads to ensure a high standard of training is provided.
· Support all relevant accreditations, such as the OCN Credit for Learning providing and maintaining all relevant training documentation.
· Provide regular training-related reporting to senior management and the Talent team, highlighting issues and risks, and measuring progress against agreed KPIs.
· Manage the employee compliance for Synnovis statutory/mandatory training in all areas.

· Support induction training to all new joiners to Phlebotomy and work closely with the HR team to ensure all onboarding is delivered as required and in a timely manner.
· Deliver training related reports and recommendations based on agreed metrics to senior management, as required.
· Provide mentorship to all staff within the team and work with other training leads to ensure strategic training plans are delivered.
· Utilise any relevant software to record data and ensure that data entry is accurate.
· Support the development of theory and practical based training, organising classroom-based training with trainers and facilitators.
· Prioritise your workload effectively to ensure that deadlines are met, and that work is delivered on time and to a high standard. This includes allowing time for Continual Professional Development (CPD).
