Underwriter / Senior Underwriter - Commercial & Third Sector

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team at GB001 Marsh Ltd. As a key member of our Commercial Combined team, you will be responsible for underwriting UK-based commercial risks and developing successful relationships with regional brokers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new and existing business within delegated authority, utilizing market-leading digital platforms to manage day-to-day trading and products.
- Liaise with brokers and colleagues to increase profitable relationships and issue insurance policies by calculating premium rates and negotiating insurance terms and conditions.
- Work within the Commercial Combined team to develop and maintain relationships with regional brokers, colleagues, and clients across the UK.
- Identify opportunities to offer solutions to existing client/broker accounts by evaluating applicant situations and circumstances and determining insurance risk.
- Communicate effectively with senior members of staff to ensure clarity and positive relationships across the business.
- Put clients and customers first by working within SLAs and ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times.
Requirements:
- Insurance experience from an underwriting or broking background.
- Experience using digital trading platforms.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Desire to further or start a career in commercial insurance.
