Senior Test Engineer

Intertek Electrical is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join their team in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the engineering team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of products for Intertek's global client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical safety evaluations for clients to ensure compliance with relevant test standards
  • Work closely with clients to evaluate their products and documentation, providing technical support and guidance
  • Collaborate with the UK Electrical team to provide technical expertise and support to operations, sales, and marketing
  • Develop and implement training programs for technical staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
  • Provide quotes for complex projects and products, recommending and preparing capital expenditure requests as needed
  • Manage assigned projects within Intertek guidelines, providing project updates to customers and management
  • Review and sign off other engineers' projects and test reports, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained
Requirements:
  • Relevant Electrical/Electronic formal qualifications or degree
  • Good IT skills, experience with Excel, Word, and data retention systems
  • Experience of working in accordance with a Quality Management System
  • Strong lab/test/data analysis/troubleshooting/reporting skills
  • Background in product safety testing, grid code, inverters, EV charging, BESS, energy storage
  • Experience and knowledge in multiple electrical safety standards
  • Experience with Yokogawa, or other data acquisition and analyzer tools, AC/DC simulators, RLC load bank and communication interfaces
