Procurement and Payment Co-ordinator

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Payment Co-ordinator to join our team.

Duties:
  • The co-ordinator will be responsible for posting supplier invoices and staff expense claims to the ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • They will manage two weekly payment runs, guaranteeing on-time payments within due dates and correct amounts.
  • Suppliers' statements will be reconciled, and discrepancies or queries addressed.
  • Internal and external queries will be identified and resolved promptly.
  • New supplier accounts will be created, verifying information and entering it correctly onto the system.
  • Telephone calls from suppliers will be responded to.
  • Manual payments will be processed outside of the usual BACS process, allocating them to relevant invoices.
  • The co-ordinator will share responsibility for managing the AP mailbox.
Requirements:
  • High-volume AP experience is necessary.
  • Accountancy qualifications are not necessary but are preferred.
  • Strong time management skills are required.
  • Candidates must be able to multitask, work under pressure, and use initiative.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is necessary.
  • Ability to meet deadlines is crucial.
  • Proficient IT skills with a willingness to learn are essential.
