Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team at Providing Care. This role involves working closely with young people aged 16-18 who are transitioning from care to independent living. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in guiding these young individuals through this critical phase of their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one support tailored to each young person's unique needs, helping them develop life skills and confidence.
  • Liaising with social workers, mental health professionals, and other relevant parties to ensure a coordinated approach to the young person's care.
  • Assisting young people with daily tasks, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing their personal affairs.
  • Offering emotional support and guidance to help young people navigate the challenges of transitioning out of care.

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with diverse and complex needs or challenging behaviours.
  • Knowledge of the care system and transition processes for young people, as well as safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with young people and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Salary and Benefits:
