Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled FIX Protocol Engineer to lead the development and continuous improvement of our robust, low-latency FIX-based execution engine. The successful candidate will ensure seamless integration with various trading systems (OMS/EMS) and third-party services.

Integration and Collaboration:

The FIX Protocol Engineer will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the smooth integration of the FIX engine with financial services, brokers, and exchanges, enhancing operational efficiency.

Performance Optimization:

The ideal candidate will optimize the FIX engine for high-throughput trading operations, ensuring minimal latency, downtime, and fast execution to meet the demands of a high-frequency trading environment.

Maintenance and Support:

The FIX Protocol Engineer will provide proactive support and maintenance for the FIX engine, promptly troubleshooting issues to ensure system stability and reliability.

Testing and Deployment:

The successful candidate will implement rigorous testing protocols to validate the integrity and performance of the FIX engine. They will also oversee deployment processes, ensuring smooth updates and upgrades.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

The FIX Protocol Engineer will maintain detailed documentation of the FIX engine's architecture, configurations, and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and system management.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. They will also have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with the FIX protocol in a trading environment.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in developing and maintaining FIX-based trading systems (OMS/EMS). They will also have strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.

The FIX Protocol Engineer will have in-depth knowledge of the FIX protocol (versions 4.2, 4.4, and 5.0). They will also have expertise in low-latency and high-performance systems.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with network protocols, sockets, and multi-threading. They will also have experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

The FIX Protocol Engineer will have knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and algorithms. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
