Compliance Manager Job Description

As a key member of the esure Group team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's systems and processes align with regulatory requirements. Your expertise in financial crime and compliance will be instrumental in maintaining robust controls and promoting a strong compliance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with UK and EU regulatory developments and ensure policies are current.
  • Act as a compliance expert, advising senior leaders on control environments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Interpret and communicate new regulatory requirements to senior management, ensuring products and services comply.
  • Provide compliance input to business transformation initiatives and ensure preparedness for regulatory changes.
  • Offer analysis on regulatory and risk developments, contributing to executive and board reporting.
  • Support the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, including maintaining regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Risk & Compliance team for knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in embedding a customer-focused compliance culture.
  • Review and develop LMS training to meet regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar compliance/audit role within Financial Services, ideally in Insurance.
  • Solid understanding of the UK Regulatory environment and relevant legislation.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory changes and assessing their impact on the business.
  • Ability to review procedures, communicate findings, and influence senior management to ensure compliance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Accredited training such as International Compliance Association qualifications.
  • In-depth exposure to the UK regulatory environment.
  • Practical experience in an agile environment.
