Mechanical Technologist

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our team at Thorn Baker Industrial.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and collaborating with other team members to improve maintenance processes.

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
2. Conduct regular inspections to identify faults and potential problems, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
3. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair as needed, using PLC knowledge and HMI controls.
4. Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

1. Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience working in a fast-paced factory environment.
2. Qualification to NVQ level 3 or higher in a relevant subject.
3. PLC knowledge and HMI controls.
4. 17th/18th Edition qualification.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
