Job Title: Head of Medical Engineering Services
About the Role:
The Head of Medical Engineering Services will oversee the delivery of high-quality, safe, efficient, and patient-focused medical engineering services across the Trust. This includes managing a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management. The post-holder will also drive change and modernisation of existing systems and processes to improve quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and management of medical engineering services across the organisation.
- Manage a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
- Drive change and modernisation of existing systems and processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Oversee and support in-house engineering staff while managing relationships with external contractors.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and creating opportunities for skill advancement.
Requirements:
- Educated to Bachelor's degree in Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related Business Management field.
- Expertise in the testing, maintenance, calibration, and procurement of medical equipment.
- Strong experience in managing departmental budgets, financial planning, and procurement processes.
- Ability to lead, develop, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
- Proficient in managing large-scale engineering projects, from planning through implementation.
