Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Resettlement Support Officer to join our team at HMS Raleigh - Torpoint. The successful candidate will provide supportive and insightful personnel selection and early service leaver interviews, producing, recording, and administering phase 1 recruit documentation, and promoting opportunities for accessing and funding externally delivered elective learning opportunities.

About the Role

This full-time permanent position offers a competitive salary of £29,500 per annum, plus benefits including 23 days' holiday (rising to 27) pro rata, company-matched pension, life assurance, cycle2work scheme, and access to our Employee Network Groups. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience working alongside a diverse team of colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out supportive and insightful personnel selection and early service leaver interviews in relation to resettlement
  • Attending one-to-one meetings with leavers and phase 1 recruits
  • Producing, recording, and administering phase 1 recruit documentation
  • Signposting personnel for further advice and guidance in relation to learning & training
  • Promoting and facilitating opportunities for accessing and funding externally delivered elective learning opportunities (including e-learning courses and materials)
  • Proactively raising awareness of Resettlement amongst Service Leavers, to ensure Service Leavers are aware of the Resettlement support to which they are entitled and understand how to access such support

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to write reports
  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Office, SharePoint
  • Previous experience in a role where you have coached, taught, supported individuals
  • Any experience within the Royal Navy would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the resettlement system would be an advantage
  • Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance
