We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our Production Department at Stateside Foods. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and improve housekeeping and good manufacturing practices within all areas of the production department.
- Set up and operate machinery as required.
- Perform basic machinery repairs and replacements as needed.
- Report and highlight any machinery or product-related issues to the Line Leader or Team Leader.
- Build effective relationships with colleagues and management.
- Take responsibility for critical control points in designated areas.
- Step up in the absence of the Line Leader.
- Communicate promptly with the Line Leader or Team Leader regarding any problems or issues.
- Perform 1st Line Maintenance of equipment in designated areas.
- Carry out any other ad-hoc tasks requested by management.
- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the company's Hygiene policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in a similar role in a high-volume production environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
