We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic History teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Westminster, London. As a History teacher at our school, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality History lessons, as well as providing support and guidance to students, parents, and colleagues.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching History at the primary or secondary level, with excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment practices.

About the Role

This role requires a dedicated and motivated individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver comprehensive History lessons that align with the national curriculum, incorporating a range of teaching strategies and techniques to engage students and promote understanding.
  • Classroom Management: Establish a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, creativity, and critical thinking among students.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other teachers to develop cross-curricular activities and initiatives. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events to build positive relationships with families and the wider community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage classroom resources and materials.
Salary

£45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
