Wellington College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Economics Educator to join our team. As a key member of our Economics Department, you will be responsible for teaching Economics to students across various age groups, from year 9 to year 13.

The successful candidate will have a good level degree in Economics or a related subject, as well as a recognized teaching qualification. They will be expected to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the Department and wider College through sharing resources, lesson observation, and collaborative teaching.

The post holder will also play a role in the extra-curricular life of the Department, including contributing to off-timetable workshops, extension programs, and pre-university seminars. They will be required to make a positive contribution to the efficient running of the Department, including setting and marking examinations, attending departmental meetings, and undertaking administrative tasks as delegated by the Head of Department.

We are a seven-day-a-week boarding school, and all teaching staff are expected to participate enthusiastically in the activities offered to pupils during evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the material covered in the Curriculum of Economics and be able to teach a standard timetable allocation. They will also be aware of Safeguarding requirements and good practice within a boarding school setting.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
