Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Bias Role

Location: Mainly UK and Ireland, with some international travel.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke machinery, serving the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, and chemical industries. They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Bias Field Service Engineer to join their projects team, contributing to the development of an effective engineering function.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and projects work within the business, working at large automated facilities around the UK, Ireland, and some international travel. You will work closely with other departments to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment, analyzing data to find solutions to improve equipment performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Working on conveyors, PLCs, weighing systems, with experience in PLC interrogation
  • Attending meetings as required
  • Developing effective engineering solutions
