About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our trading team. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of paid staff and volunteers to achieve sales and fundraising targets. You will be an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, inspiring and motivating your team to deliver exceptional customer service and maximize sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
- Take ownership of the commercial running of the store, including display and merchandising, stock management, and sales.
- Provide excellent customer and supporter service, leading by example and setting high standards for the team.
- Maximize profit through effective cost control and sales.
- Create relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues to drive fundraising and sales.
- Organize and run creative fundraising events to achieve fundraising targets.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
Requirements
- Experience of managing and inspiring a diverse team of people.
- Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve those targets.
- The ability to multi-task in a lively environment.
- Working knowledge of what makes great customer service.
- Commercial awareness.
- Knowledge of high street fashion retail.
- Adaptability in changing situations, including being able to work effectively independently.
- An awareness of the price, value, and worth of items.
