Data and GIS Specialist

The Green Action Trust is Scotland's leading environmental regeneration charity, delivering impactful projects and programmes that drive positive change. We are seeking a skilled GIS and Data Officer to join our team, supporting our mission to turn policy into action on climate change, biodiversity, and environmental inequality.
This is a permanent, part-time position based in our office in Stepps, North Lanarkshire. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our development and delivery professionals to provide specialist expertise and support in data management and geographic information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-lead all aspects of data management and GIS, ensuring seamless integration with our projects and programmes.
- Support operational staff in the development and delivery of projects, providing expert guidance and advice.
- Collaborate with project partners to leverage innovative GIS solutions and drive business development.
- Undertake projects supporting technical specialisms and investigate the use of GIS in our business development.
Requirements:
- Strong background in GIS and data management, with experience in a similar role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Full, clean driving licence, with the ability to travel to project sites as required.
