Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to lead our sales efforts in the North East region. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing and retaining existing customers, securing new business through strategic prospecting and solution-based selling, and developing and implementing a localised business plan to maximise sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Grow and retain existing customers in your designated territory, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to increase sales and revenue.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a localised business plan to maximise sales and profitability, analysing market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues, to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse sales data to identify market gaps and tailor sales strategies accordingly, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A proven track record in sales, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Qualifications: A degree in a relevant field, such as business or marketing.
  • Other: A full UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
