Job Summary

Zoetis, a leading manufacturer of animal pharmaceuticals, is seeking a skilled Packaging Technician to join our team in Lincoln, NE. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating packaging equipment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned equipment, including PLC-controlled packaging lines, pellet fillers, and vision systems.
  • Maintain accurate records, including timecards, batch records, and logbooks.
  • Clean production equipment and facilities, and set up/disassemble packaging equipment as needed.
  • Apply good safety techniques, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, and demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork skills.
Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent, plus 6-12 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Language skills - able to read and interpret procedures.
  • Math skills - ability to apply general math skills.
  • Has a basic understanding of mechanical skills and has used various hand tools.
  • Meets the physical requirements of the job, including ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school certificate, or 1-2 yrs. college.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers.
  • Knowledge of P.C. using Windows-based applications.
Work Environment

This position supports a manufacturing area utilizing DEA schedule III / IV compounds with OEB exposure limits of 3 / 5. This position requires secondary gowning and use of Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) within the manufacturing facility. Must be able to withstand physical confinement for most of the workday.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals, product dust/particulate, loud noise, temperature variations, and heights of up to 25 ft.
