Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Grain Procurement Specialist to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of the Redstone Search Group, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with grain suppliers/farmers in Scotland.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in grain buying/agriculture and negotiation, as well as a Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.

A strong understanding of agricultural markets and excellent negotiation skills are essential for success in this role. Additionally, the ability to maintain strong interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with farmers is crucial.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate competitive prices and terms for grain purchases.
  • Monitor local market trends and agricultural conditions.
  • Coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of purchased grains.
  • Reports into line manager.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in grain buying/agriculture and negotiation.
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in grain buying or agricultural procurement ideal.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a strong understanding of agricultural markets.
  • Ability to maintain strong interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with farmers.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Scotland and across the UK as needed.

Salary Range: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
