Imperial College London is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering and Events Team Leader to join our Property Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Events and Catering Duty Supervisor in the operational delivery of catering services.

The Catering and Events Department runs events across various venues within the South Kensington Campus and other off-site locations. Your primary role will be to assist in coordinating the Events and Catering team, ensuring all catering requirements are met and taking operational responsibility for the provision of customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing hospitality catering services and ensuring all catering deliveries are cleared within the given time frame.
  • Briefing and coordinating agency staff and relevant team members to deliver a professional and efficient service.
  • Reporting any failure of service or collection to the Events and Catering Duty Supervisor and disposing of waste in the correct manner.
  • Communicating with organisers and guests, offering customer-friendly service and being courteous, respectful, and welcoming.
  • Assisting in identifying areas of customer service where improvements can be made and helping to implement solutions.

Requirements include a basic food hygiene qualification, previous experience in a similar catering environment, and the ability to work with a variety of personalities at all levels.
