The Role: Material Controller Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader for Fleet Logistic Coordinators in the Supply Chain team specialising in a key discipline within material flow control.

This is an incredibly varied role involving working collaboratively with all our stakeholders as providing strategic direction for a team of 27 Fleet Logistic Coordinators.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the main point of contact for our customers, ensuring a seamless interface and exceptional service delivery.">
  • Maintains comprehensive oversight of the internal performance of the Supply Chain, proactively identifying and addressing issues to optimize material flow efficiently.">
  • Ensures timely delivery of spares according to planned inputs, guaranteeing operational continuity.">
  • Proactively engages with customers and suppliers to address any deviations from agreed service levels, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues promptly.">
  • Validates material requirements and provides strategic direction for 27 Fleet Logistics Coordinators to streamline operations.">
  • Sets priorities effectively in cases of conflicting demands, ensuring efficient resource allocation.">
  • Takes the lead in managing relationships with key customers, fostering strong connections and facilitating smooth information flow.">
  • Provides proactive support to customers before input, ensuring their needs are met effectively.">
  • Takes ownership of the review process, conducting thorough analysis of supply issues and coordinating actions to achieve timely resolutions.">

About You

">

We are looking for a customer-focused individual with excellent interpersonal and team skills.

">

A minimum of 5 years' experience in Engineering or a Supply Chain environment is required.

">

Experience of influencing, communicating and negotiating both internally and externally to meet customer requirements is essential.

">

Supplier management experience and a good understanding of Airworthiness Requirements and British Airways quality requirements are also desirable.

">
