Pirelli, a leading manufacturer of high-performance tyres, is seeking a talented individual to join its Materials Industrial Department. As an Efficiency Improvement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operating procedures, efficiencies, and overall improvement projects to support the manufacture and quality assurance of rubber compound, textile, and metallic fabric components used in tyre production.

Main duties include:

  • Collating and analysing production data and key performance indicators to drive continual improvement
  • Liaising with site services providers to ensure seamless operations
  • Aiding the team in implementing and maintaining LEAN processes to optimise efficiency
  • Participating in problem-solving groups to identify and address inefficiencies
  • Ensuring adherence to safety procedures and standard operating protocols
  • Leading a work-based project to drive process improvements
  • Conducting machine and method studies to identify opportunities for efficiency gains while maintaining high safety and quality standards

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree-level education
  • Strong keyboard skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A willingness to get hands-on in re-designing layouts and processes
  • Excellent organisational skills and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A full clean driving licence is desirable, as there may be opportunities to travel to other sites
