Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our team at Marmion in Harrogate. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring production targets are met in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating machinery and ensuring consistent and accurate production.
  • Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Completing routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns.
  • Monitoring product quality throughout the production process.
  • Completing regular equipment inspections and reporting any issues or malfunctions.
  • Ensuring high standards of safety and hygiene throughout the facility.
  • Completing machine changeovers in an efficient and safe manner.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • A health and safety focused individual with an understanding of food safety regulations.
  • Understanding of HACCP principles would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills; confident both verbally and written.
  • Strong mechanical ability; able to operate and troubleshoot production equipment.
  • A Forklift Licence would be extremely advantageous - Additional bonus offered for FLT operators.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • UK resident residing within commutable distance to Harrogate; please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
