Job Details: Ground Support Equipment Engineer & Aircraft Marshaller

Job Summary:

Gama Aviation LLC is seeking a highly skilled Ground Support Equipment Engineer & Aircraft Marshaller to join our dynamic team at our Bournemouth base facility. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the management and servicing of Aircraft Ground Support Equipment, general upkeep and maintenance of the Hangar and office complex, and overall responsibility for the company vehicle servicing/repairs and condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ground Support Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular, preventative inspection and maintenance of hangar support equipment/GSE, ensuring calibration deadlines are coordinated and met in advance of due dates.
  • Hangar Operations: Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to plan and coordinate the service, repair, and calibration of all GSE & tooling in the hangar, maintaining them in a state conducive to an efficient hangar operation.
  • Aircraft Marshalling: Coordinate and perform aircraft pushback and towing, including aircraft manoeuvring in/out of hangar, following company towing procedures and ensuring safety of personnel and product.
  • Facilities Management: Provide reciprocal support to the facilities assistant with duties such as light housekeeping/maintenance tasks in the hangar, waste disposal, and oversight and management of company vehicles servicing and general maintenance needs.
  • Ground Handling Operations: Comply with the processes, policies, and procedures incorporated in the Ground Handling Procedures Manual to handle company and third-party aircraft, and assist with the loading/unloading of patients to air ambulance aircraft.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Recognised industry qualification in a mechanical or automotive discipline.
  • Experience: Extensive experience of mechanical maintenance of vehicles, marine, or plant equipment.
  • Skills: Highly skilled in general maintenance of plant equipment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in the use of MS Office programs including Word and Excel, and a full UK driving licence.
