About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will play a critical role in driving our fundraising efforts and securing vital resources to support our mission.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of securing significant gifts and will be responsible for leading our Major Gifts strategy, managing high-value accounts, and building relationships with key stakeholders. They will also develop and implement effective plans to grow income through international grants and capital fundraising.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong passion for animal welfare and a commitment to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Major Gifts strategy
  • Manage high-value accounts and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement effective plans to grow income through international grants and capital fundraising
  • Provide strategic guidance to the team and support the development of cases for support
  • Manage budgets and track annual and multi-year forecasts and KPIs

We offer a competitive salary of £62,593 per annum, plus benefits including a pension scheme, life assurance, private health cover, and 31 days holiday (rising to 34 with each full year of service).
