Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at i2i Recruitment. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the accounting records for a wide range of clients, preparing VAT Returns, and assisting with other accounting work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for clients using Xero and Hubdoc.
  • Prepare and submit VAT Returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process invoices and receipts from Hubdoc to Xero, ensuring seamless financial management.
  • Process client records on Xero, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and review client Xero ledgers to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Onboard new clients, including compliance checks, due diligence, and setting up software for use by clients.
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll records, including pension returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of personal tax returns.
Requirements:
  • Essential experience in a UK-based accountancy practice, with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • VAT experience is required, with a strong understanding of VAT regulations and compliance.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and online accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a flexible and motivated approach.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £28K per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as onsite parking, company pension, and 25 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays.
