Job Title: Welder Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our client's team in Leicester city centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the production and assembly of structural and architectural metalwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel components up to 6mm thickness.
  • Engage in fabrication duties such as cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to execute welding and fabrication projects accurately.
  • Conduct inspections of welded and fabricated components to identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and fabrication tools in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly for maintenance or repair.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in a structural or architectural metalwork environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Previous experience working as a welder or a fabricator.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
