About the Company

Talent84 LTD is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team and lead civil engineering projects for our client, a leading international FMCG manufacturer.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering projects, including maintenance of various structures on the company's site.

Main Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead civil engineering projects to ensure timely completion within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Equipment Installation: Plan and execute new equipment installations, ensuring minimal disruption to production and adhering to company policies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineering departments to improve plant efficiency, share knowledge, and best practices.
  • Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and safe workplace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Communication: Act as the primary contact for external service providers, ensuring effective communication and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures, including planning permissions and site health and safety rules.
  • Maintenance and Testing: Schedule regular maintenance and tests, ensuring equipment is in good working condition and minimizing downtime.
  • Building Alterations: Assist in planning building alterations, ensuring minimal disruption to production and adhering to company policies.
  • Communication with Authorities: Communicate with relevant authorities regarding planning permissions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Document Management: Keep DWG files up to date, ensuring accurate and reliable documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Group personnel, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve overall performance.
  • Professional Development: Attend training courses and meetings as necessary, continuously improving professional skills and development.
  • Out-of-Hours Support: Provide out-of-hours support if needed, ensuring minimal disruption to production and adhering to company policies.

About You

To be eligible for this role, you need to have a background in Civil Engineering with experience in large-scale projects on manufacturing/engineering sites.

  • Qualifications: Qualification in engineering/civil engineering/building, with supervisory and management qualifications/practical experience.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of Site Health and Safety Rules, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and procedures.
  • IT Skills: Intermediate IT skills with Microsoft Office, with AutoCAD skills (preferable) and basic knowledge of relevant SAP module.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
