Senior Category Buyer – Engineering/Manufacturing
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Category Buyer to join our Procurement Team at Distinct. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the strategic procurement of direct raw and processed materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers to achieve better commercial terms.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Approve and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proven track record of contract management and negotiation.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of project buying principles and practices.
