Senior Landscape Architect - Bristol/Cardiff

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chartered Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in the south west from a base in either our Bristol or Cardiff offices.

The AtkinsRéalis Landscape Practice is a leading UK-based design Practice with global reach, renowned for its culture of open collaboration, creativity, and excellence in all aspects of its work. Our diverse team of highly skilled designers is unified by a passion for creating positive transformations in people's lives through good design.

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role on a wide range of challenging design projects across the UK, working closely with our team of 80 Landscape Architects who operate throughout the UK and internationally.

Our practice has a strong pipeline of work across all sectors, and we are looking for Landscape Architects with varying levels of experience to join our team. Depending on your background, you will have the chance to contribute to the development of large-scale design projects, from feasibility through to detail design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project workloads within a team environment.
  • Deliver high-quality landscape design, supporting projects from feasibility to detail design.
  • Support contract documentation and site supervision.
  • Conduct LVIA in accordance with best practice guidance, planning processes, and EIA.
  • Develop technical knowledge, high-quality presentation, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with working in a quality assurance environment.
  • Understanding of and experience in BIM.
Requirements:
  • A relevant landscape degree.
  • Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute.
  • Relevant years of post-charted experience in a Landscape role, ideally in both public and private sectors.
  • Experience in managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects, particularly in sectors such as schools, transport, flood infrastructure, and urban regeneration.
  • Excellent project management skills for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment to varying methodologies.
  • Consultancy experience is an advantage, as is the ability to demonstrate commercial expertise.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe software packages, with a passion for exploring the use of Revit, Sketch Up, and Enscape as design tools and for presentational outputs.
  • Experience and understanding of BIM.
