Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Secondary School History Teacher to join our team at an Outstanding School in Cambridge. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching GCSE and A-Level History to students aged 11-18\
  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and assessments\
  • Providing support and guidance to students outside of lesson time\
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and achievement\
  • Participating in staff meetings and training sessions\
  • Contribution to the school's curriculum development and planning\

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree in History or a related subject\
  • PGCE or QTS qualification\
  • Experience working as a History Teacher in a Secondary School setting\
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements\
  • An ability to develop engaging lesson plans and assessments that meet the needs of diverse learners\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD\
  • A valid DBS check\
  • A reliable means of transportation\
