Do you have experience in supported living and want to make a difference in the lives of older adults? We are seeking an experienced House Manager / Cook to join our team at Abbeyfield House in Caerphilly.

About the Job

This is a 24-hour per week, fixed-term position until 31/10/2025. As a House Manager / Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of the residents, developing a homely environment that is welcoming and safe, and managing house staff and volunteers.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £15,028, based on a 24-hour working week. In addition to your salary, you will receive wellbeing support, dedicated learning and development opportunities, and free DBS checks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a daily meal service that meets the nutritional needs of the residents
  • Ensuring the security and safety of the building and its contents
  • Supervising and managing house staff and volunteers
  • Maintaining a positive relationship with the local community
