University Hospitals Birmingham is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Trials Administrator to join its team. As a key member of the Liver Research Delivery team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of clinical trials in liver diseases.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, academic, observational, and interventional studies. You will collaborate closely with Research Nurses and the Research Administration team to achieve the goals of the team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their administration skills, research systems knowledge, interpersonal communication, organization, time management, and documentation skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with various staff groups, including Medical Consultants, Clinical Scientists, Researchers, Academics, Public and Patient groups, and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Trust staff, managers, and outside agencies involved in research in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage Research Databases, updating and developing them as necessary, while ensuring compliance with Trusts and University policies on data protection, confidentiality, and security.
  • Collate and transcribe/export data from medical and other records to CRFs (paper or electronic).
  • Check the recruitment of patients into studies, including consent paperwork and study specimen records, and ensure that all relevant data has been recorded.

Requirements:

  • Maths & English at GCSE level, Grade C or above (E).
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent comparable experience (E).
  • Previous office experience (E).
  • Evidence of well-developed IT Skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. (E).

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
