About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect (Engineer) to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative engineering solutions that support the RNLI's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop technical documentation for various assets and equipment using RNLI business systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with EAM Processes and Standards for plant, equipment, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cell leads to achieve timely delivery and adhere to established processes.
  • Act as a designated engineering signatory in accordance with EAM delegated authority.
  • Provide technical support to coastal staff and volunteers, while also liaising with boatyards, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct investigations, troubleshooting, trials, and analysis of data at various locations.

Requirements:

  • A RINA accredited Naval Architecture (or equivalent) engineering qualification or level 3/4 with additional experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as a Naval Architect.
  • Motivated individual with excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
