Cleaning Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cleaner to join our team at Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our premises, including floors, furniture, and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of designated areas, including floors, furniture, and fixtures.
• Carrying out general cleaning duties, including washing, sweeping, and vacuum cleaning.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste.
• Polishing and dusting of designated areas, fixtures, and fittings.
• Using powered equipment as necessary.

Requirements:

• Previous experience of working in a similar post.
• An understanding of the cleaning requirements of commercial premises.
• Awareness of Health and Safety issues in relation to the handling and storage of materials and equipment.
• Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
