About the Role:

The Nelson Inn is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading kitchen operations, collaborating with the Head Chef, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
