About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Family Safeguarding Service in Bury. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families to safeguard children and provide specialist assessment and interventions for parents with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete mental health needs and risk screening assessments
  • Signpost service users to relevant services
  • Consult on mental health issues to teams within the Family Safeguarding Service
  • Attend team meetings and group supervisions as needed
  • Assist service users to engage in relevant adult mental health services
  • Undertake short-term supportive, psychologically informed intervention work
  • Co-facilitate training and workshops
About Us

The Family Safeguarding Service is based within Bury Council, and we work closely with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. We offer flexible working arrangements, including term time, part-time, and compressed hours. We encourage applicants to discuss their requests at interview.

Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or other professional registered qualification in a health or social care field
  • Post-qualification experience of clinical work with service users experiencing mental health issues
  • Experience of delivering evidence-based interventions in a time-limited framework
  • Knowledge of mental health issues, risk assessment, and management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals
